Un dia despues de la Conferencia General / One day after General Conference

Wow, fue un fin de semana lleno de inspiracion y tambien de muchos buenos consejos. Usualmente nos gusta mirar la conferencia desde la comodidad de nuestro hogar y eso fue lo que hicimos, excepto el Domingo, que Pedro tuvo que ir a la Estaca durante la primera sesion para llevar a un hermano investigador. El sabado fue muy especial porque senti mucha paz al escuchar a nuestros lideres y senti como el Espiritu Santo me daba testimonio de sus palabras. En la tarde, Erik no tenia muchas ganas de ir a la sesion del sacerdocio y pues se fue con un poco de mal humor. No regresaron a la casa hasta casi las 9 p.m. porque dicen que les gusto tanto todo lo que hablaron ( entre los temas estaba "el enojo", que sintieron ganas de irse al centro de visitantes del Templo y miraron la pelicula sobre la vida de Jose Smith. Pude ver a Erik con un semblante muy diferente, y realmente feliz de haber podido escuchar al Profeta y autoridades generales. Me siento muy feliz de tener el evangelio en mi vida y en la de mi familia. Yo se que el Senor quiere darnos todas las herramientas que necesitamos para mantenernos a salvo en este mundo y que nos ayudaran a regresar con El algun dia. Pero si no hacemos uso de ellas, nunca podremos sentir la diferencia en nuestras vidas.

Wow, it was a weekend full of inspiration and good advice. We usually like to watch General Conference from the coziness of our living room and that's exactly what we did, except on Sunday, Pedro had to go to the Stake center during the first session because he took an investigator who needed to hear the G.C. in Spanish. Saturday was very special because I could feel so much peace in my heart as a listened to our leaders speak to us and also felt the Holy Ghost giving me testimony of their words. In the evening, for the priesthood session, Erik was a little mad at us because he did not want to go. Well, we told him he had to go and it was almost 9 p.m. when Pedro and Erik finally came back. Erik had a totally different attitude and was very happy. He told me how he and his father felt so inspired after the priesthood session that they ended up going to the visitors center at the temple and watching the Joseph Smith movie.
I feel very thankful that I have the gospel in my life and share it with my kids. I know the Lord gives us all the tools to keep us safe in this world and to allow us return to Him someday. But if we don't use these tools then we'll never see the difference in our lives.
